This License Agreement (the “Agreement”) governs the use of the digital products (scripts, plugins, and templates for Adobe After Effects, collectively the “Products”) distributed through the website aftertools.net (the “Site”), owned by Marco Belli, sole proprietorship based in Italy (the “Licensor”).

By completing a purchase on the Site, the buyer (the “Licensee”) fully accepts the terms of this Agreement. If the Licensee does not accept these terms, they must not proceed with the purchase or use of the Products.

1. Definitions

• • Product: any script, plugin, or template for Adobe After Effects distributed through the Site or through authorized third-party platforms (e.g., Envato Market).

• • License Key: a unique code provided to the Licensee at the time of purchase, required to activate and use the Product (only for scripts and extensions).

• • Device: any physical computer on which the Product is installed and activated using the License Key.

• • Account Area: the personal dashboard accessible to the Licensee through the Site, where License Keys and associated activation slots can be managed.

2. License Grant

The Licensor grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased Product, subject to the terms of this Agreement.

The license is granted for commercial use: the Licensee may use the Product to create projects, animations, and video content intended for commercial purposes as well (e.g., client productions, monetized content, advertising material), subject to the restrictions set out in Section 5.

3. License Validity and License Key Requirement

The license has unlimited (perpetual) duration: there is no expiration date for the right to use the purchased Product.

It is understood that:

• • Use of the Product is, and will always remain, strictly dependent on entering a valid License Key. The Product cannot be used, under any circumstances, without an active License Key.

• • The perpetual nature of the license refers to the right of use, not to a guarantee of indefinite functionality. In particular, the Licensor does not guarantee that the Product will continue to function correctly following updates to third-party software (e.g., a major Adobe After Effects update introducing compatibility issues), operating system changes, or other external factors beyond the Licensor’s control.

4. Activation on Multiple Devices

Each License Key may be activated on a maximum of 10 (ten) Devices simultaneously.

Management of activation slots is entirely entrusted to the Licensee through their Account Area on the Site:

• • The Licensee may free up an activation slot by deactivating a previously associated Device, in order to activate a new one.

• • Exceeding the limit of 10 active Devices requires the Licensee to manually deactivate at least one existing slot before a new activation can take place.

• • The Licensor is not responsible for any loss of access to the Product resulting from the Licensee’s mismanagement of activation slots.

5. Usage Restrictions

Unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Licensor, the Licensee is expressly prohibited from:

• • Reselling the Product, in original or modified form, to third parties;

• • Redistributing, publicly sharing, or making available the source code of the Product, in whole or in part;

• • Using the Product as a component, or substantial part, of a competing product intended for sale or distribution to third parties;

• • Sharing their License Key with third parties or allowing unauthorized use of the Product;

• • Attempting to bypass, remove, or disable the License Key verification system.

The use of content (animations, videos, projects) created using the Product, including for commercial purposes, remains free and does not require any additional licensing, subject to the restrictions on the Product itself set out above.

6. Obsolescence and End of Support

If a Product is declared by the Licensor to be no longer supported (for example, due to technical obsolescence or discontinuation of development), the following conditions apply:

• • The Product will continue to be supported for a further 6 (six) months from the date the end of support is announced.

• • After this period, the Licensor no longer guarantees the correct functioning of the Product, which may cease to work, including as a result of updates to third-party software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) or the discontinuation of License Key verification services.

• • No refund requests will be accepted in relation to a Product ceasing to function after the 6-month period following the end-of-support announcement.

7. Technical Support

Technical support (assistance, bug fixes, and configuration help) is guaranteed for 6 (six) months from the date of purchase. Beyond that period, technical support is provided at the Licensor’s discretion and is not guaranteed.

The Licensor reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue any Product at any time, without prior notice, subject to the provisions of Section 6 regarding obsolescence and end of support.

8. Right of Withdrawal and Refunds

Consumer Licensees (natural persons acting outside their trade or profession) have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 (fourteen) days of the purchase date, without giving any reason, in accordance with applicable consumer protection law (Italian Consumer Code, Legislative Decree 206/2005, implementing EU Directive 2011/83).

For purchases made by individuals or entities acting in the course of a trade, business, craft, or profession (B2B), the right of withdrawal does not apply, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to the Products, including source code, structure, graphics, and documentation, remain the exclusive property of the Licensor. This Agreement does not transfer any intellectual property rights to the Licensee, but grants only the usage rights expressly set out in the preceding sections.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Product is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor does not warrant that the Product will be error-free or that it will meet any specific requirements of the Licensee not expressly agreed upon.

The Licensor shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including, without limitation, loss of data, loss of profit, or business interruption) arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Product, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence where such liability cannot be excluded by mandatory law.

The Licensor’s total liability, where applicable, shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the Licensee for the Product giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by Italian law.

For disputes involving Licensees acting as consumers, the competent court shall be that of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile, in accordance with mandatory consumer protection rules.

For disputes involving Licensees acting as business entities or professionals (B2B), the exclusive competent court shall be the Court of [insert city, e.g., the Licensor’s place of business].

12. Amendments

The Licensor reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Changes will be published on the Site with an indication of the last update date. Continued use of the Product after such changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new terms, without prejudice to the Licensee’s rights acquired under the version of the Agreement in force at the time of purchase.
